Role Summary

 

As a Data Scientist intern with Tictag, you will be working on improving our product offering through the application of state-of-the-art algorithms used to extract structured data from visual and audio data. In this golden age of data science, you will be championing the usage of these newer components and technology within Tictag

For our internship, we are looking for applicants who are hungry to learn and unafraid to explore new ways to improve the way we do things. You should be independent and be able to function without micromanagement, but at the same time unafraid to voice out your doubts and questions without having to be prompted to do so.


For this internship, the ability to convert to a Full-Time Position after studies/internship is highly preferred.

Job Description

  • Perform scientific research into the latest methodologies and technologies within data science and deep learning space.

  • Scope and build proof-of-concepts / prototypes using data science techniques directly for our feature development

  • Implementation/tuning of machine learning algorithms

  • Identify, investigate and explore relevant internal or external data sources / datasets / technologies to improve our data science component

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree holder or undergraduate in computer science or a related field. 

  • SQL, Excel, Python or R or Java coding experience

  • Basic knowledge of data structures and algorithms

  • Interested in data science, data mining, machine learning and statistics

  • Enjoys and is capable of working autonomously

  • Dependable and fun. 

  • A drive to not only be good, but do good.
