Building Inclusive AI Futures: ABLE and SG Enable Collaboration in Action

On 10 December 2025, despite grey skies and persistent rain, our training venue was filled with energy and anticipation. We were delighted to welcome staff from SG Enable, who joined us to observe our collaborative session with ABLE, our second such gathering in just two months. The weather may have been dreary outside, but inside, our trainees arrived with enthusiasm and a genuine eagerness to deepen their understanding of artificial intelligence.

The session focused on demystifying AI, taking participants behind the curtain to explore how these technologies actually function. We covered the fundamentals of data annotation and quality control, essential processes that power many of the AI systems we interact with daily. Understanding these mechanisms not only builds digital literacy but also opens doors to meaningful employment opportunities in the growing AI sector.

Recognising the practical needs of our trainees, we also introduced popular AI tools specifically designed to support job applications and interview preparation. These resources can be transformative, helping individuals present their skills more effectively and build confidence as they navigate the employment landscape.

What made the day particularly special was our commitment to hands-on, interactive learning. Rather than passive observation, trainees engaged directly with the material, asked questions, and shared their personal aspirations for how AI might support their future careers. These conversations remind us why this work matters: technology should empower everyone, regardless of ability or background.

The collaboration with SG Enable and ABLE represents more than just a training session, it's part of a broader commitment to creating genuinely inclusive pathways into the technology sector. As we look ahead, we remain dedicated to expanding these opportunities and ensuring that the future of AI is built by diverse voices and perspectives. After all, inclusive technology begins with inclusive education.
